Viral Marketing
The world is changing. Besides Marketing is changing. I´ve been in business school for 5 years and they never told us what Viral Marketing is. I guess education has to be updated. In the following lines I will explain why this concept changes the rules of advertising. As usual there is a short video that clarifies everything.
Motivation
As I continue with the blog, my idea is to approach the core business ideas. Today I will write about motivation. What is motivation? The business dictionary defines motivation as ¨ the internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested in and committed to a job, role, or subject, and to exert persistent effort in attaining a goal ¨. To achieve a better understanding I will attach a video. It is called ¨The surprising truth about what motivates us ¨. In essence the video illustrates the hidden truth behind what really motivates people at home and their workplace.
First approach of Marketing in iOS Apps
Time has come to write my second post. As the blog is about iOS app development I have to focus more on the business part. What is Marketing? The American Marketing Association defines it as: ¨Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large¨. In the following lines I will make a first approach of the Marketing and Advertising Guidelines for Developers. It is important to notice that Apple distinguishes Marketing and Advertisement material.
Where Do Good Ideas Come From ?
Okay. I guess now is the time to write something meaningful. Thursday night, for some still Easter vacation but for others holidays are over. 7 pm is the perfect time to end the day with a movie, but a little inspiration came to me while watching television. No one knows when good ideas come to your mind. I recommend for those who want to make a little difference to buy a pocket notebook and write down every idea that comes to their mind. You never know when an old idea can match perfectly with a current situation. Talking about ideas, I think that is a good way to start this blog. My first topic is ¨Where do good ideas come from?¨. My reference is a really interesting video I accidently saw on youtube. Narrated by Steven Johnson, it looks simple and accurate.
